Product Description

An XXXL super mammoth bag of hardwood logs that have been kiln dried to under 20% moisture content and Ready to BurnOur Kiln Dried firewood logs are selected from the finest hardwood grown in the UK and have been through a kiln drying process which means that they are perfectly dried and ready to burn on your open fire or wood burning stove. Light, clean and easy to handle, they also emit a delightful aroma when burnt. The performance of your stove is directly related to the quality of the wood you use. Our kiln dried wood has a moisture content between 10 and 20 percent, ensuring it burns hotter for longer and increasing the efficiency of your stove or appliance.Contains range of good quality hardwood species, including Beech, Ash, Birch, Oak. Log length approx 20 - 25cmDelivered in a SUPER mammoth bag for breathability and easy storage or transportation. So what is an XXXL super mammoth bag?We aimed to create a bulk bag to become a direct substitute for our large 2x cubic metre crate that we have sold for so many years. The costs on crates has risen considerably so we have found a solution to provide the same volume of logs in a UK produced xxxl super mammoth bag.Laid flat on the floor the bag measures 1m x1m x1.6m high.We filled one of our large 2cbm crate crates measuring in at a height of 1.65 x width 1.08 depth 1.13 with tipped loose logs until it was over full. This crate was used as a way to measure 2 cubic metres of loose filled logs, we tipped that crate full into the new xxxl Super mammoth bag and it was just the right size, with the bag bulging out on all four sides. This new bag holds the same volume held by a 2 cubic metres crate but now loose filled, slow burning, kiln dried, UK produced, beautiful logs.Weight may vary depending on moisture content of wood and how long the wood has been in the kiln for, the dryer the wood the lighter it will be.
